The Iconic Golf Academy of Excellence

The Iconic Golf Academy of Excellence (IGAE) is tailored to help aspiring golfers achieve their own goals on and off the golf course. Students receive golf lessons and coaching from Qualified PGA Professionals in a manner that allows them to apply it to achieve competitive success. The IGAE trainers produce powerful yet body-friendly golf swings which will lay the foundations for a successful future. Each student will have a customised programme that will eradicate swing faults and establish positive habits that will build a consistent and impressive golf swing. IGSE has drawn on its long established connections with the most prestigious golf clubs across Ireland to ensure students have an immersive experience. Students will receive training from PGA professionals who have an expert knowledge of Links golf. Talent scouts are expected to appear in the final days of the programme to assess potential for especially gifted students.

Queen's University

A Stimulating Environment

The residence of choice to accommodate the students of the IGAE is the prestigious campus of Queens University. Located on the highly regarded Malone Road, the stunning buildings and surrounding grounds provide the ideal setting for IGAE residents. Queen’s University among the top one per cent of global universities and will give students an insight into the importance of a first class education.

English tuition for the IGAE students will be conducted by Queen’s University who run a Cambridge ESOL Examination Training Centre; providing specialist language training. English tuition will be conducted on a daily basis and tutors will also give students insight on the necessary skills to earn a place at a prestigious university in the UK and Ireland.

World Class Training Facility

Students of IGAE are being given a unique opportunity to literally walk in the footsteps of Rory McIlroy and play a round of golf on the course/practice facility that he designed himself. Rory lived at Robinhall House for over four years (2009 - 2013) during which time he became the world number one golfer and won two major championships (US Open & US PGA Championship).

Students will encounter playing conditions that have been designed to replicate Pebble Beach, St Andrews, Congressional and the Augusta National. Turf from each of these courses has been flown in to allow students to have a completely unique golf experience.
