History:

Royal Dublin is proud to hold the official title of the second oldest golf club in Ireland and was first formed in 1885 and in 1891 it received the Royal prefix. Both the club and course have a rich and extensive history and include events such as those during the First World War when the club was taken over by the military to help with the war effort. The course now measures some 7,267 yards and has a par of 72. A classic links course which has been defined by The Links Association as an official true links of the world the course has a whole host of features to keep players entertained and challenge their strengths and skills. This course is in a beautiful and secluded spot yet is less than 5km away from the bustling city centre of the capital of Ireland, Dublin. Found on the East coast of the country the surrounding area is home to many more fantastic golf courses including those at Portmarnock.
